মিল্লা ঝিল্লা কুমিল্লার ইফতার: one table for Cumilla’s youth groups

On 16 March 2026, TECHious hosted an iftar evening by the Gomti in Cumilla for youth organisations, supported by Afsu Developers, Dighir Chap and Phoneflix.

On 16 March 2026, Team TECHious organised মিল্লা ঝিল্লা কুমিল্লার ইফতার (Milla Jhilla Kumillar Iftar), an evening iftar that brought several of Cumilla's youth organisations to one table during Ramadan. The name is a playful rhyme on the word কুমিল্লার, "Cumilla's". The backdrop at the venue gave the location as গোমতীর পার (Gomtir Par), on the banks of the Gomti river in Cumilla.

Who came

The evening was held with the support of three local businesses: Afsu Developers, Dighir Chap and Phoneflix. TECHious thanked five organisations for taking part:

  • Leo Club of Cumilla Greaters
  • Uddami Youth Network Bangladesh
  • Nextwave Impact
  • Zenvia
  • VBD-Cumilla District

Several of these groups had worked with TECHious before: Leo Club, Uddami Youth Network Bangladesh, NextWave Impact and Volunteer for Bangladesh were all community partners of YouthGEN 2025.

The evening

Guests broke their fast together under a white tent strung with fairy lights. Representatives of the participating organisations received certificates of appreciation, and the photos show a large group gathered on a red carpet for a shared picture at the end of the night.

In its write-up, TECHious said the event brought people together to share not just food but warm moments and smiles, and that gatherings like this create memories, strengthen bonds and celebrate community. The team added that the evening would stay close to its heart.

The iftar evening came in the same Ramadan as the free daily iftar at Cumilla Town Hall, where TECHious ran operations for the coalition Cumillar Jonno Amra: read Iftar for everyone at Cumilla Town Hall.
