Stages, skills and service: the events, training and community projects TECHious runs for young people in Cumilla, Bangladesh.
YouthGEN is the flagship youth event of TECHious. YouthGEN 2025, presented by Ediz IT Institute under the theme From Ideas to Impact, filled Shilpakala Academy, Cumilla, on 20 September 2025 with a full day of power sessions, networking and a hands-on Experience Zone around AI, business, careers, leadership and gaming.
Tickets went on sale at five Cumilla schools and online, and the booths closed early because seats ran out. Pre-event promotion by TECHious spoke of 1,200+ youth. In the Experience Zone, visitors tried VR, gaming and 5G demos and met BRAC University’s Mongol-Tori rover.
Beyond YouthGEN, TECHious runs training for its members, leadership roles for students, community service in Ramadan and partnerships with other youth events in Bangladesh. Every card below links to a full story with photos.
TRAINING
Getting ready for tomorrow’s tech world. A practical skill-development campaign for members, from basic to advanced level. Session one, led by the founder, covered how to start the journey as a designer and ended with a logo task.
LEADERSHIP
Gain skill, get recognised, be a leader. Students represent TECHious on their campus. The 2026–27 intake used an online form and two interview rounds, and the list was announced on 13 May 2026.
MEMBERSHIP
The membership drive of TECHious. New members (“Insects”) work on projects, campaigns and events, with mentorship, teamwork and skill development promised in return.
ANNIVERSARY
Three years of TECHious, celebrated as TECHious Day, with thanks to proud sponsors ICT Expert and Phoneflix.
COMMUNITY
Free iftar every day of Ramadan, organised by the volunteer coalition কুমিল্লার জন্য আমরা (We for Cumilla), with operations run by TECHious, like every year.
COMMUNITY
An iftar evening that brought Cumilla’s youth organisations to one table, supported by Afsu Developers, Dighir Chap and Phoneflix.
STRATEGIC PARTNER
TECHious joined the 8th World Invention Competition & Exhibition national round, organised by Dreams Of Bangladesh, as Strategic Partner. In September 2026 a TECHious visual artist represented Bangladesh at WICE in Malaysia.
COMMUNITY PARTNER
A one-day education and innovation event for Cumilla students, with olympiads, project showcases, expert talks and robotics, organised by Uddami Youth Network Bangladesh with ICT Expert.
New calls (member recruitment, Campus Ambassadors, event volunteers) are announced on the TECHious Facebook page. The get involved page explains how each one has worked so far.
